چکیده

Digital transformation and artificial intelligence are creating an opportunity for innovation across all levels of industry transforming the world work by enabling factories to embrace cutting edge Information Technologies (ITs) into their manufacturing processes. Manufacturing Execution Systems (MESs) abandoning traditional role legacy executing middle-ware embracing much wider vision functional interoperability enablers among autonomous, distributed, collaborative Cyber-Physical Production System (CPPS). In this paper, we propose a basic methodology universally modeling, digitalizing, integrating services offered variety isolated workcells single, standardized, augmented production system. The result is reliable, reconfigurable, interoperable architecture, which privileges Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA) its rich possibilities information modeling at higher level common service interoperability, along with Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) lightweight protocols lower data exchange. proposed MES architecture has been demonstrated validated in several use-cases research laboratory excellence industrial testbeds.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Integration of Manufacturing Execution System and Simulation

This paper presents a concept of development of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) by using simulations. MES is one of manufacturing systems that are used to bridge the data between the gap of the bottom layer (such as the shop floor control) and the enterprise system layer (such as Enterprise Resource Planning: ERP). The paper focuses on the functions of MES which link the levels of operatio...

Cyber-physical Vunerabilities in Additive Manufacturing Systems

One of the key advantages of additive manufacturing (AM) is its digital thread, which allows for rapid communication, iteration, and sharing of a design model and its corresponding physical representation. While this enables a more efficient design process, it also presents opportunities for cyber-attacks to impact the physical word. In this paper the authors examine potential attack vectors al...
